So as I leave for the United States, I can't help but feel very excited. It is a moment in history, both political and that of a nation and the world. We are on the brink of change, and I have never felt more anticipation than I have lately.

I myself want change, to do something exciting, worthwhile and completely different. I sense that this trip to America will cement my future, and the path I take following university.

I feel as if my spiritual home is in America, who knows, perhaps I was a rich American in a previous life! All I know is that she is calling me, back to my homeland.

On other fronts, life ticks along slowly, if not uneventlfully. University is much the same- lectures, seminars, research and writing. I hope for something exciting to crop up, to distract me from the dull repetition of everday life. I have yet to pack for America, I leave on Wednesday.

I have been making lots of videos for my YouTube page: uk.youtube.com/user/jackieonassis please do watch and comment :)

So back to the books now, even if I feel as if I am in another world.

So called 'friends.' They are nothing of the sort.
Just because I live away from university, it is suddenly acceptable to not invite me to things, and practically ignore me. Well fuck them.
I'm my own women, independent and strong. Much like PH, but not as ruthless.
They will realise soon enough what they have done. Once the trust has gone, there is no coming back.
You cannot count on anybody, but yourself.

So essay time is here, I have so much work!!

1. An essay on stardom and Meryl Streep, it is actually quite interesting but I need lots of references/quotes to support my arguments.

2. Essay plan on The Devil Wears Prada and its similarity to other genres. Yet to start, but I have ideas.

3. Presentation prep.

4. Portfolio tasks.

Ick. And this all has to be done in 3 weeks or so. Yippee.

Wish me luck,

So saw The Women today. I thought it was really good, but the film felt reallly long. I enjoyed it thought. I though Annette Bening was the best in it, so funny! I loved the wardrobes, especially Annette's and Meg's.
The shots and locations of New York were particuarly appealing,
Can't wait for the DVD.

Yesterday I went shopping, bought a Chanel bag, and Manhattan. Arrived home and my Postcards From The Edge and Death Becomes Her DVD had arrived. I have watched Death twice already, and I LOVE it.

Went out in the evening to a local pub with some friends. There was a bit of drama when some other people turned up, but luckily nothing too nasty. We will see how it develops.

Today I purchased a clapperboard, I will write my favourite movie details on there :) Ugly Betty soon!
